Emerging Neo-Soul Artist, Lady E, Releases New Single “Ode To Snowboarding” on April 10 in Honor of the World Ski & Snowboard Festival
SEATTLE, WA, MARCH 28, 2018 – New artist Lady E emerged early 2018 from the Pacific Northwest music scene with her sultry neo-soul sound, slinging catchy hooks, funky bass lines and a 90’s hip-hop vibe. Singer, songwriter and producer, Lady E, will release her second single titled, Ode To Snowboarding on April 10 in honor of the World Ski & Snowboard Festival (WSSF) at Whistler. A longtime snowboarder, Lady E says she owes her decision to start making music to the sport and to the WSSF.
“I never would have started making music had I not wrecked my back snowboarding on Whistler during the World Ski & Snowboard Fest,” says Lady E. She claims to have found her inner music calling through the meditation work she did as a result of the injury she sustained while snowboarding during the fest. “Luckily I didn’t need surgery or anything, I just had a lot of chronic pain to deal with. I tried everything to cope with it, including meditation, which opened up this Pandora’s box. I realized I’m full of all these songs and I really wanted to sing them.”
Lady E is now doing just that. She is busy recording and producing her debut album, which she expects to be finished in late 2018. In the mean time, we can enjoy this new track that celebrates the sport that spawned her songs. “On Ode To Snowboarding, I want listeners to feel like they are riding the mountain, so I used a bunch of different effects that really transport you. It was a lot of fun to make,” says Lady E.
